September 11th

September 11th was an event that stopped time for the United States. Citizens in the United States watched in horror as New York's first responders  scrambled to save lives and assess damages. Comedian Jon Stewart was at the forefront for a Congressional hearing on reauthorizing September 11th Victim Compensation Funds. Jon Stewart is a strong advocate for 9/11 responders previously lobbying Congress in February on this same issue. Stewart asked lawmakers in February to ensure the the compensation fund does not run out of money. The comments from Stewart on the empty seats were met with a promising response from Tennessee Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen, "All these empty chairs, that's because it's for the full committee. It's not because of disrespect or lack of attention to you. That's not true. We will respond, and we will see that this is funded."  Do you want to see this compensation fund filled? Or Do you think that these funds need to be reallocated? Let us know in the comments below!

Mueller Report

The Mueller Report has been published and one of the biggest topics of discussion is an impeachment of the President. Although Congress was in recess some Democrats called for impeachment after Robert Mueller said,
"It explains that under long-standing department policy a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional. Even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public view, that too is prohibited. The special counsel’s office is part of the Department of Justice and by regulation it was bound by that department policy. Charging the president with a crime was, therefore, not an option we could consider.
[…]

It would be unfair to potentially accuse somebody of a crime when there can be no court resolution of the actual charge. So that was Justice Department policy. Those were the principles under which we operated and from them we concluded that we would not reach a determination one way or the other about whether the president committed a crime."

Before the statement had been made 6 of the Democratic candidates in the presidential field had endorsed the impeachment, and after the statement had been made 10 of the candidates had fallen in agreeance. According to a New York Times survey there are over 50 House Democrats in support of an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.  The Republican party controls Senate and Delaware's Democratic Senator Chris Coons said that "He has not spoken to a single Republican senator who would vote to remove the president." Republican Kevin McCarthy's message following the Mueller report was simple, "It's time to move on"

Do you think there is good cause for impeachment, or do you think that this proposal is wasting time and energy?

The Wall

The border construction is one of great controversy. Many believe that the wall was a waste of energy, resources, and money. Before taking office there was 654 miles of barrier along the border which was made up of 354 miles of barriers to stop pedestrians and 300 miles of anti-vehicle fencing. President Trump has changed his view of what he wants to be the basis of the wall construction. Originally he wanted concrete, and in December of 2018 he posted on twitter a picture of a "steel slat barrier". In 2018 there was around 400,000 that illegally migrated into the United States, while 700,000 overstayed their visas Canadians being the highest group of over stayers according to DHS figures followed by Mexicans. In March of 2019 alone there was over 100,000 apprehensions at the southwest border. The flood of illegal immigration could be in relation to the perceived change in legislation. Let us know your thoughts and opinions below on the current issue.

Is there opportunity in the current social security tax format. If these taxes were moved directly into sales tax. The monies could be redistributed into our economy in a fluid movement. Those individuals that are apart of the working class would have more choice in where/what they are investing in. The effect could change our economy in a way that gives more skin in the game for the smaller investors. Comment below and let us know your opinions!

In January 18, 2019 the United States Government was in locked shutdown due to the failure of the House of Representatives to serve the people by meeting with the President and resolving differences that would open government (preventing TENS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN COLATERAL ECONOMIC DAMAGE) over the building of a secure system to protect the borders of the United States of America. SHAME ON ALL WHO REFUSE TO MEET.  Our unofficial survey currently shows 85% of respondents would insist that all involved in the process stay at their work positions until the issue is resolved .
